This series of work is part of a personal exploration of the Australian landscape. The Australian wilderness is incredibly diverse, with many different biomes within a few hours’ drive in any direction.
The landscape here is resilient, with areas not typically seen as traditionally beautiful still offering visually striking elements.
Creating work in this environment provides challenges, forcing control to be relinquished in order to create a work that is both made and found.
Jake Roden acknowledges the Taungurung people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which this work was shot.
Select your Broadsheet Editions print from the Broadsheet Editions online store. Choose from the five available size options and three frame finishes (or select unframed). Follow the prompts at checkout to finalise your order – you’ll receive a confirmation email once the order has been placed and is in production.
After you place your order, your photograph is printed onto 300gsm 100% cotton rag stock and dry mounted to an acid-free foam board. If you selected framing, it will be framed with gallery-grade materials, including locally sourced sustainable Australian hardwood and museum-grade plexiglass, before being sealed and wired for easy mounting in your home or workplace.
Your framed print is then carefully bubble wrapped and boxed (or, if unframed, rolled and sealed in a tube),and shipped Australia-wide in under two weeks. For our largest framed print size of 100cm x 150cm, courier delivery will be arranged at an additional expense.
